BLUES On Tap served up three sets of tasty blues at The Retreat (revamped Cheeky Monkeys), Perth.
Taking their inspiration from established acts such as John Mayall, Howlin Wolf and Elmore James, the five-piece outfit played with great aplomb.
After a shaky start on "Highway 49", Blues On Tap soon found their feet and numbers like Fleetwood Mac's "Black Magic Woman," "Born Under A Bad Sign" and Eric Clapton's "Before You Excuse Me" were very polished.
With strong vocals, a tight rhythm section and some sound slide-guitar, Blues' standout tracks were "Maybe I'm Wrong," Whitesnake's "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City," "Need You So Bad," "My Heart Beat Like A Hammer" and Cream's "Crossroads."
Definately a band we'll be hearing more about on Music Scene. For more information Blues On Tap's website is: www.bluesontap.co.uk
