A PERTHSHIRE band are aiming to make 2005 a year to remember.
And the five members of Blues on Tap will get a chance to present their material in front of a Fair City audience on Saturday, January 15, at The Retreat (formerly Cheeky Monkeys), Fleshers Vennel, Perth, from 9pm until midnight.
The band were formed in February last year and have been busy at work rehearsing, with a hectic schedule lined-up. They recently played an exhausting three-hour set to Edinburgh, so punters going along will certainly get their money's worth!
Blues on Tap play a mixture of blues and classic rock and will be introducing a number of original numbers to their set in the coming months.
Drummer Joe Irvine told Music Scene: "We want to continue improving musically, both individually and as a band, and, hopefully, build up a good following. And we aim to play a regular number of gigs each month plus a large percentage of Blues festivals around the country."
And Joe added that the band intend to establish an annual Blues on Tap charity event.
Blues on Tap are: Gary Merralls - vocals, Nigel Ewen on lead, slide and rhythm guitar, Andy Telford on lead and rhythm guitar, Gordon Cumming on bass guitar and Joe Irvine on drums.
